The SA Capital Equipment Export Council

About The SACEEC

Established in 2000 as a public private partnership between the South African Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC) and the capital equipment and related services industries, the SACEEC strives to facilitating export growth, support export development, promote their members internationally and provide a formal gateway between government and business.

The Project

The start of the global pandemic in 2020 resulted in the cancellation of all major trade shows and exhibitions where traditional networking and sales lead generation would take place for members of the SACEEC. Progression Digital was approached to reignite interest and find alternative ways for members to gain exposure to local and international markets. The focus for the project was to develop an interactive and engaging online portal that could be leveraged by the SACEEC and its growing member base throughout the pandemic and beyond.

The Outcome

Aside from designing the corporate based pages of the website our team developed an effective application/onboarding form for potential members as well as a listings based feature that allows members of the SACEEC to manage their own user profile and company listings. Visitors to the website are able to search member companies through a range of interactive filters including a visual locations based map. The website now boasts visitors from more than 100 countries around the world and provides the SACEEC management team as well as each member with important visitor statistics.
